Clogged pores: What causes them and how to get rid of them?

Clogged pores are the result of our dead skin cells deciding to domesticate ourselves instead of leaving us forever. The pores are small holes in the skin that release grease and sweat. Although we may not like their size, they have a purpose. These are small holes for hair follicles, each of which produces a natural oil that helps us maintain healthy skin.

These oils protect us from infections or dry skin. However, when they are clogged, it manifests as black or white dots or even acne.
In addition to improper care or use of unsuitable products, the environment in which we find ourselves can also contribute to the formation of clogged pores. We should pay particular attention to toxins in the air, comedogenic makeup (clogging pores), touching the face too often, hormonal changes, inflammatory processes or excessive sweating. If you are also bothered by these inconveniences, do not despair. Here are some methods to loosen the pores. However, always remember to talk to your beautician before you try a new method of skin care.

1. Our daily acids
Alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) are a group of acids used in various skin care products. These include anti-aging products such as serums, toners or creams, as well as concentrated treatments offered by experts through chemical peels. There are different types of AHA acids that are commonly used in products available throughout the skin care industry and their effects are truly exceptional.

AHA acids are primarily used to exfoliate the skin, but they also have a number of other positive effects:
●    support collagen production and blood flow
●    promote proper scar healing
●    regulate the formation of fine lines and wrinkles
●    prevent acne
●    unify skin colour
●    revitalize the skin
●    improve the subsequent absorption of the products
2.Face masks
Masks have been a very popular helper lately. Whether you choose non-woven, peeling or washable masks, it is important to choose the right composition.
For example, activated carbon is very effective in removing impurities and toxins from pores. You can also choose dry, oily or combination skin – or even make so-called multimasking (combination of several types of masks on individual areas of the face according to the skin type of the area).
3. Skin exfoliation
Exfoliation / peeling thoroughly cleanses our skin and removes dead skin cells. And that's what helps loosen clogged pores. There are different types of exfoliation, including mechanical and chemical. Mechanical options include, for example, special brushes or cleaning wipes. Chemical exfoliation includes alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA acids), such as glycolic acid, beta-hydroxy acids (BHA acids), such as salicylic acid, retinols, or pore cleansing enzymes. If you want to try chemical exfoliation, consult an expert or visit a beauty salon.
4. Full steam away!
Steaming is a typical part of facial treatment. An expert uses a special method to give your skin a good dose of warm and moist air. It is steamed with a steaming head, a hot towel, or the pores are opened with a special emollient. Once opened, skilled beautician can apply selected products better and easier, such as face masks or creams, which are absorbed into the skin faster and deeper. This in turn will bring better and longer-term results. However, home steamers also appear on our market, so you can indulge in a smaller wellness experience in the comfort of your own home.
How to prevent clogging of pores?
Believe it or not, really little is enough and clogged pores can be a thing of the past.
●    follow a regular regime in your skin care
●    monitor the composition of your favourite products and choose the ones that do not clog pores (non-comedogenic)
●    remove makeup at the end of the day
●    exfoliate your skin regularly
●    don't touch your face!
