Pigment stains
PIGMENT SPOTS – how to fight them?
Pigment stains bother many of us. In the past, they appeared exclusively in the elderly people, but recently the boundary of this, in most cases just an aesthetic problem, has shifted to ever lower age categories.

What are pigment spots? These are brown spots on the skin caused by excessive production of the skin pigment melanin. Melanocytes, cells found in the skin, are responsible for its production. Pigment spots are most common on the face and on the hands, as these parts of the body are most exposed to sunlight. On the body, it is mainly the shoulders and the cleavage area. They can be caused by several factors, but most often by sunlight. They can also occur when taking certain medications or herbal supplements that are photosensitive. Pigment spots can also appear on the skin to which we have applied perfume and then exposed it to sunlight. The essential oils contained in perfumes are not always tolerated by sunlight. Genetic predisposition, hormonal changes in the body – for example during pregnancy, or liver and kidney disease can also be the cause of pigment stains.

It is easier to prevent the formation of pigment stains rather than to solve a problem that has already been created. If the pigment stains are caused by sunlight, then using high-quality cosmetics with a high protection factor will reliably prevent their occurrence. Temperance in sun exposure is also important.

And what to do with them if they were already created? Here, a quality cosmetics with whitening ingredients will help. These can identify hyperpigmentation places on the skin, regulate excessive melanin production, and reduce the intensity of pigment stains. Within the products from Temperance you can find a number of skin care products with a whitening effect. The active whitening ingredients are, in particular, niacinamide (vitamin B), arbutin, mulberry extract, rice extract and many other plant extracts. By using them regularly, you will achieve a softening of the intensity of the spots. Don't expect the result in a few days. Such products need to be used regularly for a long time. Chemical sawing is also effective in the fight against hyperpigmentation. You will also find such a product in our portfolio. Bellmona Silky Peel AHA 30% contains AHA acids and other active ingredients that provide the skin with the necessary hydration. They remove dead cells from the skin, regenerate the skin and unify its pigmentation.
