Skincare after winter?

Author: Temperance    Date: 22.3.2023

Winter is over and what's next...

Even though our winters are not as harsh as they used to be, our skin still suffers from the cold weather. During the spring season, with increasing sun rays, not only nature awakens, but also our desire to look better.

It's not that we don't care about our skin in winter, we just want to do a little more for it during this period, we want to look better. Next should come the "inventory" of our stocks of cosmetic products, replenishment and purchase of missing ones, and we should especially work on our daily skin care plan. Let's realize that it is not the art of "just" buying products, but their daily use is important and systematic use. Now you say to yourself, "I don't have time for this, I can't manage the planning, it's complicated", so read on...

The skin protects us from the sun, heat, but also cold and infections. It is constantly self-renewing and healing, but it also needs our help. With regular care, we help to strengthen the natural renewal process, by removing impurities, sebum and dead skin particles, we help to maintain its healthy appearance. Simple cleaning with water and a basic cream are not enough today. We certainly wish that she is not only healthy, but also looks beautiful, fresh, youthful...

When choosing cosmetic products, we often succumb to various trends, advertisements and bargains and do not ask ourselves what actually suits our skin type, what it wants and needs. And so it happens that we wash our delicate and sensitive skin with a "popular" cleansing foam and rinse with chlorinated water, then we look in surprise at the red spots on our face. With oily and impure skin with enlarged pores, we were used to applications with high concentrations of alcohol, to a perfect "disinfection" - but the opposite is true, with such an application, we only increase the production of sebum, because by applying alcohol products, the skin dries out, begins to defend itself and becomes much more oily. Subsequently, the pores become clogged, inflammatory processes arise and can slip into severe acne conditions.

Many of us associate the regular use of exfoliation with caring for oily skin, but the opposite is true. Whether dry, normal or oily type, every skin is not only renewed, but also its cells die. The skin itself cannot get rid of this dead layer, graying, clogged, enlarged pores, and inflammatory processes occur. Therefore, it is up to us to actively participate in this cleansing process and include exfoliation in our routine. Today we offer gentle exfoliating gels, non-violent, effective for every skin type. Plant extracts and cellulose perfectly clean clogged pores and delicate, sensitive skin, without any unwanted irritations...

If we sum it up like that, it is important to pay attention to the individual needs of the skin, to consult with an expert. An expert can advise you and determine your skin type, which is the first and essential step. Subsequently, he determines the problem that appears on the skin and we want to eliminate it. And only then comes the right selection of products - step by step.

The quality of our skin, its health and renewal are also influenced daily by our lifestyle, eating habits, general health and the state of hormones. We can influence some of these factors, others not, but we can definitely try to do so with our care. Our help in the form of proper cleaning is only the first step. Now let's focus on the other needs of our skin. At every step, we hear about the correct drinking regimen and skin hydration. Yes, sufficient hydration is important not only for the proper and healthy functioning of our body, but we can also see and feel its importance in the condition of our skin. Water is life and its lack inhibits the cycle of regeneration, active substances are more difficult to absorb. At the level of the skin, we perceive dehydration as increasing tension, dryness, grayness, or increased sensitivity or excessive greasing, which prevents the skin from drying out. You might say to yourself that your drinking regimen is fine and you've been using "your" cream for many years and everything was fine until now...
With age, the skin changes and so do its demands. Seasons change, as do environmental factors such as heating and climate. The skin needs enough moisture every day in the form of high-quality tonic water and moisturizing cream.

Of course, our skin also has its own demands for adequate nutrition. We adapt it to the condition of the skin, age and often also to our ideas. Today's cosmetics industry offers me a wide range of options in this regard, and we often don't even know how to choose. In our blogs, we are dedicated to various effective substances supporting the beauty and youth of our skin, you just have to choose or consult about your choice. After all, a high-quality and correct choice can ensure us not only a feeling of well-being and satisfaction, but also a more youthful, radiant appearance. As the warm days increase, we can exchange richer nourishing creams for light but equally nutritious liquid forms of creams - emulsions.

Serums, essences, ampoules - preparations for intensive care also play an important role in the daily routine. Hydration, delivery of individual active substances to the skin according to its needs, soothing and regulation of sebum, all these preparations can provide us. And what else is fascinating about them? They can be layered on top of each other depending on what skin problems we need to solve, which gives us many options to get healthy, fresh and beautiful skin.

"Daily skin care routine" sounds quite serious and mandatory, but let's try to look at this care process as fun, as something to "ensure" a few minutes for ourselves. We relax, actively take care of our appearance and often get the feeling that the world revolves around us.

And what to add at the end? We are getting more and more sunny days, let's not forget the daily use of a high-quality SPF protective cream. This is the only way to avoid unnecessary damage to our skin from sunlight.

It therefore applies:
1. Determine the right skin type
2. Identify the problem that needs to be solved
3. Determine and choose the right products for your skin type

And let's remember our favorite 10 skin care steps:
1. Makeup removal
2. Cleansing
3. Deep cleansing
4. Toning
5. Skin ampoules
6. Essence or serum
7. Skin mask
8. Eye cream
9. Skin cream or emulsion
10. SPF
